Just over 6 years working with family businesses and owning/running my own for the previous 20 years.

What’s one of the most common mistakes you see in family businesses?
Not passing enough responsibility to others in the business. It seems to happen over a period of time, so you don’t even notice it’s happening.

What do you love most about working with family businesses?
Everyone’s got a different set of skills and capabilities. I love working with business owners, combining our strengths and seeing our plans come to fruition  – it makes a personal difference. You don’t get this type of satisfaction working with corporates.

What gets you up in the morning?
There’s nothing like working with good people who are driven to succeed –  I love it!

What’s the key benefit of your FBA membership?
Connecting with family businesses who want to succeed – these are my favourite kind of people.
