Kylie Kovac ACT

Hi all,

Tony Abbott has survived a vote to spill leadership position. It wouldn’t be an ACT update without some political mention.

A few things are happening in Canberra in the coming weeks with our first professional development opportunity for the year this Thursday Passing the Baton: Exit Planning. Don’t miss your chance to hear from Martin Tobin, former CEO of Tobin Brothers funerals on a number of best practice initiatives and processes designed to increase the chances of successful transitions and interconnected family business dynamics. Also, make sure you save the date or better still book to attend the Strategic Planning course on 5 May here in Canberra.

In parallel to the opportunities available through FBA I wanted to highlight to you a number of others on offer:

  • Telstra Business of the Year Award nominations are now open why not register? All entries receive a free business health check. This is a 70 page document detailing whether a business is in good health or if it’s in poor health. It also makes recommendations for how a business can improve its outcomes. Click here for further information.
  • Canberra Business News allows you to connect and access the latest information and news from the Canberra business sector.
  • The Pilot SME Growth Program  will provide skilled support for business improvement and promote innovation through collaborative opportunities, connections with research institutions and developing and commercialising new ideas.

I look forward to seeing you soon.
