As we embrace a new year, it gives us a great opportunity to reflect on our achievements of 2015 and think about goals for the year ahead. FBA have some exciting opportunities coming up in 2016.

The 2016 Forum year begins in February, so if you have been thinking about being involved, it’s time to get organised. The program provides participants with a professional and confidential platform to address the issues and opportunities faced in their family business. Perhaps this is just what you need as you strategise for 2016.

Your forum group will enable you to:
• Develop growth strategies and share commercial experience across a variety of industries
• Work through family business dynamics
• Learn about succession planning, business plans and family integration from your peers
• Access the support and knowledge of professional facilitators with experience in organisational behaviour, psychology, business leadership, mentoring and family businesses

The new quarterly online FBA Bulletin will launch in February. This will provide relevant content for the family business sector from our Accredited Advisers and Forum Group Facilitators as well as family business profiles and more! If you are a member of FBA and would like your family business profiled, please get in touch with our Marketing Coordinator, Ingrid Stead.

In partnership with the Growth Faculty, we offer you the opportunity to take part in the 2016 Growth Summit being held in Melbourne (Tuesday 15th March) and Sydney (Thursday 17th March). This will be a powerful one-day program designed to address the current challenges of entrepreneurs and leaders of growing businesses and provide you with the relevant tools and frameworks for you and your team to grow and compete in this fast changing environment. As part of the FBA community you have the opportunity to attend at a significantly reduced rate if you register before 5th February, follow the link for more information.

FBA State Conferences will be taking place in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth this year, and of course…. the 18th Family Business National Conference is being held at the Pullman Albert Park in Melbourne from 17th – 19th August. Make sure this is in your diaries; more information will follow soon.
