How long have you been working with family businesses?
I started working with Family Businesses in the beginning of 2017, after commencing my CFO, business advisory business in the previous 12 months, having previously worked in family businesses in FMCG, and Industrial products.

What’s one of the most common mistakes you see in family businesses?
The most common mistake I see in family business, is not having the skill and expertise to analyse what adds value, controlling cash effectively, the impact of wastage and inefficiency in their business.

What is your “uh ha” moment with your clients? When they realise…
that to maximise profitability, minimise risk, and drive growth opportunities, a more strategic and analytical approach to managing their business is necessary. Engaging the support and help with the use of Consultants such as myself, as a trusted internal advisor or outsourced CFO with a diverse industry background and senior Mgt experience, can provide the expertise they need without incurring the cost of a full time executive.
