What generation is your family business?
3rd Generation

What is your role in the family business?
Director – Support Services.  I have director responsibilities but also day to day, I work supporting the back of operations functions like: HR and IR, Risk and Compliance, Legal, Technology and Strategy

What/ who is a major influence for you in the family business?
Legacy and Progression are major influences.  My grandmother (dec.2001) influenced me on so many levels, including a deep respect for the foundations she (and my Grandfather) laid and sacrifices they made to make the business successful.  But I also believe and feel the work laid down by my grandparents was done so with an intent for their children to benefit.  And as I look to the future, I wish to see the family business continue to evolve for the same purpose – for future generations.

What keeps you up at night?
A few years ago, I would have said a lot of the day to day issues.  And these still will distract me from a sound sleep on occasion, but at the moment I would say, clarity around business direction v’s family interests is an area that is front of mind.  But in saying all that, I have also adopted strategies to help me get a good nights sleep so I am well rested and able to act with clarity when needed.

What’s the key benefit of your FBA membership?
Tapping into a network of people, businesses and services that understand the ebs and flows of family dynamics regardless of industry.  I see it as an avenue to relate, learn and be inspired.
