Review of the Adviser Accreditation Process
Advisers are valued members of Family Business Australia. The FBA Adviser accreditation process involves completion of professional development courses and demonstration of experience and expertise in advising family businesses. Once accredited, advisers commit to ongoing professional development. The Board has formed a Working Group to review this process with the following terms of reference:
FBA Adviser Accreditation process
- The overall effectiveness of the current Accreditation process
- Benchmarking of the current Accreditation process against other associations/organisations with like processes
- Examples of other skills-based accreditation processes
- With regards to existing FBA Accredited Advisers, whether they should be re-accredited or grandfathered if a change of Accreditation process results
CPD requirements
- The overall effectiveness of the current CPD requirements
- Benchmarking of the current CPD requirements against other associations/organisations
- The development and ongoing suitability of criteria for CPD activity to maintain accreditation
- Procedures for ensuring CPD requirements are met
Code of Conduct
- The overall effectiveness of the current Code of Professional Ethics and Conduct
- Benchmarking of the current Code of Professional Ethics and Conduct against other associations/organisations with like processes
- Recommendations for consequences of breaches of the Code of Conduct
