Meat packaging manufacturer Ennio International and infield wood chipping specialist L.V Dohnt and Company have been inducted to Family Business Australia’s South Australian Hall of Fame for 2016.

The Hall of Fame award, which is now in its 15th year in SA, recognises the achievements of family-owned businesses and their contribution to the economic and social fabric of the state.

The inductees were announced at the Hall of Fame dinner held on Wednesday, November 23 at the National Wine Centre, in a ceremony presided over by Small Business Commissioner John Chapman.

FBA SA chair Debbie Reed said the annual awards event is an occasion where family business owners can celebrate, mingle and be inspired by their peers.

She said new family business, and those going through generational change, can struggle to find their best path, and those businesses inducted to the Hall of Fame act as a motivating example on how to successfully navigate building a family business.

“The honour of being inducted recognises the hard work, sacrifice, innovation and perseverance that is the hallmark of many successful family businesses. The success of the Hall of Fame inductees is something to aspire to, their journey, something to learn from,” Ms Reed said.

Ennio International and L.V. Dohnt and Company join 40 other high performing SA businesses, including last year’s Hall of Fame inductees D’Arenberg Wines and Sar Major Canvass Goods and Trailers – recognised for the quality of the products grown and manufactured in South Australia.
