Life is never dull in Queensland, just when we thought we had escaped cyclone season, along comes Debbie to rain on  our parade.

Debbie hasn’t just affected North Queensland however, the road to O’Reilly’s Rainforest retreat still has limited access which has been a huge challenge for one of the iconic Queensland family businesses. So think of O’Reilly’s if you are visiting Queensland, it’s an amazing spot.

The good news is that Hamilton Island will be open and ready for the conference in August, after a massive clean up and rebuild.

In other news from Queensland, we have a newly elected deputy chair, Jane O’Reilly.

Jane is a great supporter of  FBA and was one of the first people I met at my first conference which was actually at Hamilton Island many years ago. Jane will be my proxy on the board should I not be able to attend to ensure Queensland is represented at each board meeting.
