Ralph Wilson was the CEO of his family’s 5th generation manufacturing business. The business commenced more than 130 years ago in 1887 and manufactured plastic houseware products from its injection and blow moulding facilities originally in North Melbourne and Sydney, then at Tullamarine in Victoria, where more than 90% of the product range was Australian made.
The business had a sales turnover of $40 million +, comprising; Leisureware, Rubbish Bins, Bakeware, Storage Boxes, Fuel Cans, Kitchenware and Industrial.
The business had ranging through all major retail outlets in Coles, Woolworths, BigW, Metcash/IGA, Bunnings, Mitre 10 and others. The Company was a tier 1 supplier manufacturing blow moulded air-conditioning ducts used in the Toyota Camry manufactured at Altona in Melbourne.
In 2018 the family sold the Company to its competitor, Décor.
