Our final event for 2016 was the FBA Hall of Fame Dinner, guests enjoyed an evening of networking and celebrations as we welcomed Hiddlestone Electrics, Baileys Fertilisers and VEEM Ltd into the West Australian Hall of Fame. Judged against their peers, they shone through as exemplary examples of family owned and run businesses that know what it takes to build, expand, innovate and above all succeed in a challenging economic environment. Congratulations again to these fabulous family businesses, worthy inductees for 2016.

We were fortunate enough to work with StoryNation in the production of our inductee videos, guests at the Hall of Fame dinner were moved and inspired by the open and honest recollections captured of these three successful businesses. While they are incredibly diverse in industry, size and structure, the ‘familyness’ at the core of each of these companies shone through. Take a look at how they felt about being part of the FBA Hall of Fame:

2016 has been a big year with lots of changes and it is hard to believe it is nearly over! We have a new CEO, Greg Griffith who has some great ideas about the future of FBA and I am excited to work with him to help grow FBA and to help all members to realise their potential. I will continue to work at a local level with our committee of dedicated members ensuring there is a new program of social activities and educational opportunities for 2017 to keep you all engaged and informed.

I take my responsibility to you all very seriously, providing a valuable and positive experience in return for your membership investment is always a priority. So I encourage you to let me know if we can improve the services and support we offer, I am always pleased to receive your feedback about what works and what doesn’t.

I thank you for your assistance, support and friendship and wish you all a peaceful and happy festive season.

See you in 2017

Warmest regards,
Lorraine Willis
