We are almost in 2017! Before we say goodbye to 2016, I just want to look back at everything we have done in Vic FBA during the year. Just looking at the events, we have been able to put on a large number events, each covering a different topic, they include:

- Education courses on Family Business Directors, Succession and Family Business Essentials
- Adviser Connect Breakfasts and Fundamentals of Family Business Advising Course
- Annual Adviser Breakfast with Frank Walker
- Budget Breakfast
- National Family Business Day
- Victorian Symposium
- National Conference
- Hall of Fame Cocktail Party
We are starting to plan for 2017 – so keep an eye out for upcoming events! We always try to cater for the different interests and education needs of each of our members, but if you have feedback or ideas on our events, please let me know.
Our final event for 2016 was held recently, our Hall of Fame Cocktail Party, this was a very well attended event, it was great to see so many members getting a chance to relax, network and hear the tales of our two great inductees, Scalzo Food Industries and Sutton Tools Pty Ltd. I am excited to be able to organise a site tour of each of these amazing companies next year, if you are keen to have a look around their premises and hopefully learn more about their processes make sure you register. The dates will be on our website (www.fambiz.com.au) and I will also be sending specific emails about each of these events.
FBA will quieten down a bit over the summer (if we ever get summer in Melbourne!), so it is a great chance for me to get out to meet with members as many members as possible. If I haven’t met you, or even if I have and you have time to get together in December or January let me know.
